Campaigning for President

I really have enjoyed looking through this book, Campaigning for President. This book is full of Jordan M. Wright's personal collection of presidential election memorabilia, from posters, paper dresses, dolls, and buttons dating back to George Washington. This book really lets us know that money has always been important in campaigns and how candidates really came up with some creative ways to represent themselves to the American public.

Hey, Maggie. What books would you suggest we read to help us make decisions about the upcoming presidential election? I'm really interested in an objective view of all three frontrunners, if there is such a thing.

Well, it is getting down to the wire for the primary process especially for the Democrats who are still deciding who their nominee will be. It has been a very exciting process. As for books to read about the candidates you are right there aren't may objective books out there. The authors either love 'em or hate 'em but that is politics.

These books might help you make a decision:

Hillary Rodham Clinton
A Woman in Charge by Carl Bernstein
Living History by Hillary Rodham Clinton

Barack Obama
Dreams fo My Father by Barack Obama
The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama

John McCain
Faith of My Fathers by John McCain
John McCain: An American Odyssey
by Robert Timberg
