Sunday night's Masterpiece presentation

So who watched The Memory Keeper's Daughter on Lifetime last night? Were you a little disappointed like me? My biggest gripe was that Nora (played by Gretchen Mol) did not ever age, like her husband and the nurse did. I still love the book, and I will just chalk the adaptation to the old cliche - the book is always better than the movie!

Even though Desperate Housewives starts back up tonight, I am going to watch PBS's Masterpiece. At 8 pm (CST) there is a new adaptation of E. M. Forster's A Room with a View. It has been a long time since I read the book, but I do remember loving the main character, Lucy. Also, I heard the screenwriter added a new twist to the ending based on a postscript...now I wish I could go grab the book and read the ending to jog my memory...oh well, I am still looking forward to tonight's presentation.

I missed last nights presentation of A Room with a View but I'm interested to hear how people liked it. In his article in the Friday Times, Neil Genzlinger suggested that fans of the original film version with Helena Bonham Carter might not be pleased. Here's the permalink to that article if you're interested:
