Everyone at Lemuria is looking forward to the upcoming release of Tom Perrotta's new novel, The Abstinence Teacher . After his earlier successes with edgy books, including Little Children and Election (both were later made into movies), Perrotta continues to live up to his reputation with this latest book which broaches subjects like freedom of speech, prayer in public institutions, infidelity and addiction. Lemuria is also happy to announce that Perrotta will be visiting Lemuria on November 5 and The Abstinence Teacher will be our First Editions Club pick for the month of October. -Caroline
