I'm reading Haiku: Ancient and Modern an anthology compiled by Jackie Hardy. After reading these three:
dry well
the dropped stone's
thud
- Lee Guiseck
the cold night
comes out of the stones
all morning
- Jim Kacian
in the garden
the silence of stones
under snow
- Eric L. Houch Jr.
I reflect on my fond memories of reading Patrick Lane's fine prose-poem-memoir What the Stones Remember. And the abundant pleasure it gave me, and the wisdom that the author shared with his reader.
Remember that Patrick Lane's What the Stones Remember is now is paperback. - John Evans
